Sparky the Giant Rideable Unicorn
Sparky, fast becoming an Ithaca tradition, was created by Beyond Art Collective lead artists Doug Shire and Laurence Clarkberg. During the Winter Light festival Sparky will be hitched to Santa’s sleigh under the Bernie Milton Pavillion. Stop by to climb on Sparky or sit on Santa’s lap December 3rd, 4th and 10th 6 to 9pm, or on December 11th both 12 to 3pm and 6 to 9pm.
Experience infinity and beyond while enjoying a hot beverage at the Infinity Bar located near the Fountain in the middle of the Commons during Winter Light events. The bar was created by Doug Shire and Laurence Clarkberg.
UV Portal & Penumbra
Experience Damaris Vazquez and Myztico Campo’s UV Portal black light art in the white tent near the Rothschild Building. And therein also discover Norm Scott’s Penumbra interactive soundscapes. Installed with help from Scarlet Vinson.
Laser Light Installation
Doug Shire and Laurence Clarkberg illuminate the corner of State and Aurora with trippy, dancing lights. Check it out!
Crystal Blue Projections
Zany and inspirational videos in many colors (and black and white) by Norm Scott, Damaris Vazquez, Myztico Campo, Cameron Nelson, Phoebe Shalloway and Liz Sciore-Jones. Presented in the windows of the Harold’s Square building.
